Get to know me
Hi, I'm Megan, (Proficient) Behaviour Support Practitioner, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Strategic Psychotherapist.
I have a wide-range of experience working with children, adolescents and elderly clients to reduce trauma and improve quality of life.
I have supported NDIS participants within the Newcastle/Hunter New England Region (NSW) since 2017, when I first joined the NDIS Sector. I support those with disability and mental health concerns, including experience working as a Case Worker and implementing Early Intervention to assist at-risk children and their families, to increase safety within the home and decrease mental health for people experiencing domestic violence, trauma or addiction.
I am passionate about helping improve the lives of all people particularly, those who are vulnerable and susceptible to illness and injury due to life factors outside of their control. For example, those disadvantaged by geographic location or cultural diversity. In 2020, this passion lead me to moving to Northern Territory to support families and communities within West Arnhem Region. I have extensive experience working within inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering remote community mental health consultancy, support for children within detention centres and on parole, and working within residential and out of home care (OOHC).
I am passionate about providing strategic psychotherapy interventions, Behaviour Support and Hypnotherapy across health, education, and human services that are evidence-based, culturally appropriate and person centred.
While based currently in Newcastle, NSW, I am very interested and passionate about remote service delivery and would love to Return to Country as soon as possible to support those that need it most! I cover the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Tamworth regions, Brisbane (upon request), Online - Australia Wilde and Remote Service Delivery - including East Arnhem Land, NT.
