Where did we start?
Therapy Coalition began with a simple idea from two clinicians - a physiotherapist and a registered nurse - who asked themselves two important questions:
“What is it that I hate about being a clinician?”
And, more importantly:
“What is it that I love about being a clinician?”
The answer was clear. They loved working with clients and doing the work they had spent years studying, training for, and refining — work that genuinely made a difference in people’s lives.
What they didn’t love were the things that got in the way: endless paperwork, rigid KPIs, set hours, and administrative burdens. The things that limited their autonomy and reduced the time they could spend doing what mattered most - supporting their clients.
From that realisation, Therapy Coalition was born: a model designed to give clinicians back the freedom to focus on the work they love, while removing the barriers that so often come with traditional clinical roles – both in an employment setting, and in contractor arrangements too.
Over the years, Therapy Coalition has become a leading name in making independent practice simple, taking away the tedious, unbillable work so that clinicians can focus on what it is that they do best. Supporting clinicians across multiple disciplines, and in all states and territories of Australia, we’re led by clinicians – for clinicians.

Therapy Coalition is built around the idea that clinicians should have genuine control over how they work. “Therapy Coalition has allowed me flexibility and increased financial freedom compared to other companies – I’m looking forward to continuing my learning journey!” - Abby
Real Support
Working independently doesn’t mean working alone. Therapy Coalition provides the practical support clinicians need so they can focus on their clients - from systems and processes to guidance and connection with a broader clinical network, our support is designed to make independent practice sustainable and enjoyable.
“It’s great being able to have one on one meetings to still feel like you are in a supported environment, and not completely on your own. I’ve enjoyed being able to be my own boss, but with the support of Therapy Coalition.”
– Samantha
What it looks like to work with Therapy Coalition
Working with Therapy Coalition is designed to be straightforward, supportive, and built around the way clinicians actually want to work. It starts with a conversation about your goals, your preferred way of working, and the kind of clinical career you want to build - not a rigid job description.
From there, we help you set up the foundations so you can focus on your clients while we handle the systems and structures that sit behind the scenes. The aim is simple: to give you the freedom of independent practice with the support that makes it sustainable.
We are not here to dictate how you should work. Instead, we provide the framework, resources, compliance, and guidance that allow you to shape your work in a way that suits you – right now, and into the future as your career and life evolve.
