Get to know me

I’m Julie Athanasiou, a Speech Pathologist supporting neurodivergent children, teenagers and young adults with social communication, speech and language goals, using evidence-based, strengths-focused approaches (including PEERS®-informed coaching). I provide assessment and therapy for speech sound (articulation/phonology), language and literacy-related skills, and functional communication, including NDIS reports. I offer in-person sessions in Melbourne’s outer east and telehealth Australia-wide.

Services Available

I provide Speech Pathology assessment and therapy for children, teenagers and young adults, with a focus on neurodivergent clients. My services include social communication support (friendship skills, conversation, perspective-taking), speech sound therapy (articulation/phonology), language and literacy-related support, and functional communication capacity building for everyday participation at home, school and in the community. I also complete NDIS functional assessments and provide written reports/recommendations. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.

I work with children, teenagers and adults across a wide age range, supporting communication, social skills, and everyday participation goals. I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent clients, including people with autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities, and I tailor supports to each person’s strengths, interests, and real-world needs. I’m a PEERS® Certified Provider and regularly support clients to build friendship skills, conversation confidence, and social understanding in ways that feel practical and achievable.
